1) A farmer owes a wicked king a huge sum of money that he cannot pay back. The king is in love with the farmer’s daughter, who is then in love with another man. The king tells the farmer that he will settle the debt in front of the whole village by playing a simple game: The king will put a black stone and a white stone in a bag. The farmer’s daughter will reach into the bag and draw one of the stones out in front of the whole village. If she draws the white stone, the farmer’s debt would be forgiven right away. If she draws the black stone, she will be forced to marry the king so the debt will be forgiven. The farmer has no choice but to agree to this settlement. The daughter knows the king will cheat and put two black stones into the bag. What did she do to get out of marrying the king and have her father’s debt forgiven?

2) There is a man that can correctly predict the score of any baseball, football or basketball game correctly before it begins. How does he do it?

1) ask the king to show the inside of the bag first, see if there's only one white stone and one black stone. If there's two black stones, the daughter can accuse him of cheating. If she doesn't dare to ask the king that, just run away if she can :p

2) maybe he's a fortune teller, or he goes to a fortune teller first before the games. Or he's just lucky enough to guess. Or he's a time traveler!
