Beautiful Norah Jones was born in New York City in 1979. She is very talented, she sings jazz and other popular music styles, as well as plays the piano. She is said to be "one of the most interesting vocalists to emerge from America at the start of the new millennium." She is a daughter of an Indian musician, Ravi Shankar, but she grew up in Texas wit her mother.She studied the jazz piano at University of North Texas. Later, she moved to New York City and set up her own band. She signed her contract with the Blue Note Records in 2001. Her first album, produced in 2002, was called "Come Away With Me." In 2003 she won 5 Grammy Awards. Her second album called "Feels Like Home" was released in 2004.
