I can remember when I started school. I was four years old. On the first day, my mum came with me. All the mums and children went into the classroom. The room was big and there were lots of pictures on the walls. There were lots of things to play with as well as paints and coloruring pens. There was a wooden kitchen in one corner of the roomm and a huge sandbox in the other.I thought it was great. I also liked my teacher, Mrs Beniston. She was young and friandly. While my mum was talking to the teacher, I went over to the sanbox.

It was very noisy that morning. Most of the other chldren were crying and holding onto their mother's legs. I couldn't understans why. After a while, the teacher asked all the mothers to leave.When my mum left the room, I didn't see her go because I was playing happily in the sand with another litle girl. I think my mum was more upset than me about my first day at school.
