acim Perhatikan segitiga CDE,
panjang CD = √(DE²+CE²) = √(6²+8²) = 10

kemudian segitiga CDE sebngun dg segitiga ABC (sudut, sudut, sudut). maka berlaku :
CD/AC = DE/AB
10/15 = 6/AB
AB = 9

segitiga ABC, siku2 di B berlaku :
BC² = AC² - AB²
BC² = 15²- 9²
BC² = 225 - 81
BC² = 144
BC = √144 = 12

karena BC = BD + CD, maka
12 = BD + 10
BD = 2
