Answer From a physical point of view the sound is a vibration that propagates in an elastic medium. Sound to produce the existence of a vibrating body is required , called the focus ( taut string , rod , a tongue ) and a resilient means to transmit these vibrations , which are spread by forming what is called sound wave.
