2x + 5 = 5x - 4           y = 2x + 5               y = 5x - 4
        9 = 7x                y = 2(9/7) + 5          y = 5(9/7) - 4
     9/7 = x                  y = 18/7 + 5            y = 45/7 - 4
                                  y = 53/7                  y = 17/7

                                        Las 2 ecuaciones
                                        deberían ser iguales,
                                        pero no lo son, por lo
                                        tanto el problema esta
                                        mal formulado.

MÉTODO DE SUSTITUCIÓN.
Ordenamos las ecuaciones.

1) - 2x + y = 5
2) - 5x + y = - 4

Despejo y en 1.

- 2x + y = 5

y = 5 + 2x

Sustituyo y en 2.

- 5x + y = - 4

-5x + 5 + 2x = - 4

- 3x = - 4 - 5

- 3x = - 9

x = -9/-3

x = 3

Reemplazo x = 3 en el despeje de y.

y = 5 + 2x

y = 5 + 2 (3)

y = 5 + 6

y = 11

Solución : 

x = 3
y = 11
