I’m sitting in my bedroom and writing this. I’ve just got back from my trip to the USA with
Dan. I’ve been on lots of trips abroad before, but I’ve never been on one like this!
I asked Dan to go with me because he’s usually a very sociable person and I thought he would
be a good travelling companion. But he was completely different when we were travelling.
When we were visiting cities, he didn’t want to do any of the things I wanted to do. I thought
he was really lazy. And he was mean too, he never wanted to pay his share. While we were
travelling around, he borrowed lots of money from me and I haven’t had it back yet. Also,
he’s usually a very confident person, but he wasn’t like that on the trip. When we arrived in a
new place, he was always nervous that someone would rob us. He thought everyone in the
street was a mugger! Of course, nothing happened. And he was so inconsiderate! I took a
backpack but he took an enormous suitcase. He often said it was too heavy for him and I had
to carry it! He didn’t care that it was hard for me. I got angry with him quite often but when I
did, he got upset and told me that I was being unkind to him. So it wasn’t exactly an enjoyable
trip. Since we got back, I haven’t seen Dan and he hasn’t contacted me yet. But I’ve already
started planning my next trip – to Scandinavia. I haven’t booked anything yet, but I’ve already
decided one thing – I’m going on my own!
