Saint Valentines day, often simply Valentine's Day, is observed on February 14 each year. Święta Bożego Narodzenia:
Christmas is my favourite Christmas. In Poland we decorate our Christmas tree a few days before Christmas. We Celabrate Christmas in the end of December. We send Christmas cards to friends and family and prepare special Christmas food. We have Christmas supper (kolacja) on Christmas Eve (Wigilia). We start the supper when the first star appears (pojawia się) in the sky. Before the supper we share (dzielić się) a wafer (opłatek) with hole family. Then we sit at a table and eat carp (karp), poppy sees cake (makowiec) and other special Christmas food. After supper we sing carols (kolędy) and open Christmas presents. On Christmas Day day we have a big family dinner. We spend Christmas in our homes or we arrive (przybywać) to our family's homes. I love Christmas becouse of magical atmosphere in the air, especially when everything is cover in snow (pokryte śniegiem). ;)
Walentynki:
St Valentine's Day isn't polisch tradition. We celebrate it 14th February. On this day, boys and girls send cards to people they like very much. There are short poems (wiersze) in the cards. You don't know who the cards are from. You can only guess ! (Mozesz tylko zgadywać). The icons of St Valentine's Day are: hearts, flowers, and of course beautiful cards. I always wait at the door for the postman and I'm so excited !
