Nowadays, owning a pet became very popular. Everybody knows that life is much better when we can share it with an animal, so more and more people want to have a pet. But they often forget about important thing- it carries a big responsibility. 
First of all, when someone feels lonely or just living alone in the big house, then purchase of animal would be a good idea. Pets can be really friendly and they give a lot of love. Dogs, for example, are loving, loyal and also very funny so owning a pet can be good way to spend a free time. What is more, animals are also good for the kids because they teach them a responsibility. They are really playful too, so they will give children a lot of entertainment. 
But on the other hand, animals can be a big problem for people who don’t have much time. They need a lot of attention so they are very time-consuming. For example, if somebody often leaves home, then he doesn’t have time for carrying of the pet so buying it is bad idea. Moreover, some of animals are noisy and it can be big problem too. 
To sum up, pets are devoting a lot of time and energy, but they are the best friends and companions for thousand of years. In my opinion, owning an animal has many more advantages than disadvantages so it’s good to have a pet.
