They go to the beach and sunbathe or swim. Skiing holidays are popular in winter. Many people travel to countries like France, Switzerland, Austria, Italy and the USA to go skiing or snowboarding. Many people also go on more adventurous holidays, like widlife safaris in Africa. British people like planning holidays and in winter in the UK there are a lot of TV programmes about holidays. British people also have holidays in the UK. They go to the seaside to swim and sunbathe, or go hiking in the country. They stay at hoteles, youth hoteles, camp sites and caravan parks, or in 'self-catering' cottages or flats. Some people go on 'activity' holidays and go rock climbin or canoeing.
