f (x) = a (x - xp)² + yp
2 = a (1 - - 1)² + 10
2 = a (2)² + 10
2 = 4a + 10
4a = 2 - 10
4a = - 8
a = - 8 / 4
a = - 2
jadi , f (x) = - 2 (x - - 1)² + 10
f (x) = - 2 (x + 1)² + 10
f (4) = - 2 (4 + 1)² + 10
= - 2 (5²) + 10
= - 50 + 10
= - 40
maka
x min = -1
⇒ -b/2a = -1
⇒ b = 2a
Bentuk umum pers kuadrat,
ax² + bx + c = 0, untuk x = -1
a(-1)² + b(-1) + c = 10
⇒ a - b + c = 10
⇒ a - 2a + c = 10
⇒ c = a + 10
Karena f(1) = 2, maka
a(1)² + b(1) + c = 2
⇒ a + b + c = 2
⇒ a + 2a + a + 10 = 2
⇒ 4a = -8

b = 2a
= 2(-2)
= -4
c = a + 10
= -2 + 10
= 8
Jadi,
f(x) = -2x² - 4x + 8
Jadi,
f(4) = -2(4)² - 4(4) + 8
= -2(16) - 16 + 8
= -32 - 16 + 8
= -40
