In my opinion ads don't tell the truth since they just want to convince the customer to buy their product. They only show advantages of the product. Some companies use the trick in which they show daily activities comparing two kinds of people: one that uses their product without any power waste and any complications, the second, compared person is shown as totally dumbness. That's why i don't think ads tell only the truth, but sometimes they do.
