Se dividían en los llamados clanes. Todos los utensilios que tenían eran de todos los componentes del clan, puesto que todo lo que hacían era un trabajo en grupo.
En las zonas donde había mayores grupos de personas, era debido a que la zona donde estaban asentados, tenían mayores recursos.
Las excavaciones(yacimientos) estos clanes, estaban próximos unos a otros, a partir de esto, loa arqueólogos elaboraron una hipótesis de las posibles buenas relaciones entre ambos clanes, debido a su cercanía
La propiedad privada: En el Paleolítico no existía. Con la aparición de la agricultura empieza a aparecer. Para convertir una zona salvaje (improductiva) en productiva se requiere mucho trabajo.
La gente sólo está dispuesta a hacer este trabajo si tiene la seguridad de que la tierra será suya = aparición de la propiedad privada.
Con el trueque, el excedente y la propiedad privada aparece la desigualdad social y la riqueza, que en la Edad de los Metales provoca la aparición de las clases sociales.

EL sistema de organización social era que un grupo de familias que vivían y se trasladaban juntas, era un grupo pequeño llamado banda o clan. El crecimiento demográfico era muy bajo por su tipo de vida había limitaciones, eran nómadas, los enfermos y personas mayores tenían pocas posibilidades de subsistir, debía existir un equilibrio en la población y los recursos, para esto recurrían al infanticidio(muerte de los bebes).
